Maybe for going left, "lom" could be used in easy mode?
I think it's pretty cool, but maybe a little console at the top showing what you've typed would be useful, 'cuz it's not always clear on this awful keyboard if I've hit the key hard enough.

Awesome again, I made an easy run command though. Oh, and I'd be glad to do a tileset of some sort! Just give a tiny bit of info.

Thanks for the offer, I was actually hoping to get letsap to do a character design, simply because I love his style. But I wanted to tune the engine a little more before I started asking anyone for help specifically.

Now that I can control it, this is so amazingly brilliant. I'm using "the" for run and "irc" for jump Would a left-facing string be easy to implement?

And funner is not a word. However, I'll see what I can do, the next version should have a title screen of some sort, an options menu for changing the words, and then a "word or shift" option for going left. It should also have something to collect and a form of score. After I get all that I'll work on a procedural level generator.

character design but maybe a little console at the top showing what you've typed would be useful How about... The character is a robot. His head is a monitor that shows the last four or so letters you've typed. After playing this game I realised I don't type anywhere near as fast as I tought.

The new version's quite an improvement on the old one! I like the successful Jops and Roms that float away from your character; they give much needed feedback on what your accuracy is. The new level's a much more gentle introduction to the controls, too. Having completed it, though, I found myself wanting the old level back, for more of a challenge. After I get all that I'll work on a procedural level generator.
Excellent!

No title screen, yet, but the option for a leftward movement string exists now, and there's score, and I colored in the blackness so it didn't seem so bland. No new demo yet either. So don't go clickin' at the link just yet.

If you want to make them brown, be my guest, I'm really not an artist, I just colored it so it wasn't all black.

This is a great-looking realisation of a hilarious idea. I hope to see other genres - and classics - dragged into the text-parsing camp, such as shmups, Tetris, Arkanoid, one-on-one martial arts fighters...
