Oh yeah! I'm sure too that the dslr array they use weren't cheap either, but yeah indie is broad nowaday in term of budget.

Podunkian could do Metal Gear with a smaller, more efficient team and get just as good, if not better, quality. Hopefully his first reaction to the news was to submit his resume and his portfolio.

Kojima should do a Power Rangers game to tease you all.

maybe it's just me but i don't think it's that unreasonable for a publicly traded company to reel in the guy who is making massive budget vanity projects that require a really shitty and wasteful asset development pipeline (specifically for the engine that you paid for the development of in an age of incredible existing engines) that ensures as many movie industry people as possible are involved, on top of the extra chunk of budget you had to secure for some celebrity voice. his game is taking so long that they had to resort to selling a demo, meanwhile his visibility and importance within the company grows and grows while surely being out-earned by some mobile game for people who live on trains.
I misread this as "mobile game by people who live on trains". Indie developers with low cost of living.

after that we'll get metal gear gaseous

EDIT: either that or a reboot called metal gears where snake looks like the silent hill 2 main character
Metal Gear Plasma..

i didnt hate legacy of darkness. its the 2nd most underrated game in the series after simons quest imo.

there were definitely better action/adventure games on the n64 tho.

I thought the handheld Metroidvania games (pretty much everything on the GBA and DS) hit a sweet spot for the series. The part of the formula they kept was fun and versatile, and they experimented enough with the mechanics to keep the games feeling different and original. The end-game content was well done, such that it would keep a skilled player busy with a level-1 run but an unskilled player could enjoy fooling around with different sets of powers on new game+.

Konami always made great WB licensed games, and their classic franchises will always hold a soft spot in my hard. Why they stopped making parodius  and goemon games i will never know.
