Oxeye Game Studio

What is this?
This is an 80's inspired dog fighting game that is made in Daisy Moon (the same engine that sports house globe).

Tagline: Two sworn enemies are forced to join forces against a common foe

Plot: A peace-loving nation is taken over by a gun-toting military regime which scares the Warzaw pact and the NATO into an unholy alliance.

Story
As Palme was murdered, a secret faction within the Swedish army took the opportunity to seize the power through a set of carefully coordinated take-overs of key army installations. Detailed plans had been drawn up after the end of the second world war by conspiring dissatisfied military leaders within the small Scandinavian nation. The plans would ensure the perfect execution of operation No-More-Jantelag - they said, "there would be no more jantelaw!". In the turmoil that followed, a puppet parliament was installed starring some of the most obedient and charismatic individuals ever to set foot in the Riksdag. The bombastic and charismatic General Arne Flygare was elected prime-minister. The ever smiling Löjtnad Per Rasker took the role of minister of war, a position not filled since the 1920's. A minister of health was never appointed.

Description
If fuel-guzzling action, extreme danger requiring split-second reactions and awesome 80's sun-sets is not your cup of tea, then we suggest you look away now.

Put your G-suit on, take a good dump, forget your name, slide your visor down, kiss your loved ones good bye.
If you blink, you die. If you look, your life won't ever be the same. This, is Jet Engine Nights.

Jet Engine Nights is as much of a tribute to movie-directors like Tony Scott, producers like Bruckheimer & Simpson and 80's nostalgia as it is to people with a good taste in games. The emotional aim of the game is to convey the same sense of drama and tempo of a good 80's movie.

Gameplay
The game is 100% controlled with the mouse, and features both multiplayer action and a campaign which can be played both alone and cooperatively over network. The campaign puts the player(s) faced with an evolving conflict between the Warsaw Pact, Nato and Sweden. Friends will be made, missions will be executed and lives will be lost, but in the end, will the Swedish threat be thwarted, and will the peace beteen NATO and the Warsaw Pact last, and can our hero(s) finally come to peace with their inner demons? The multiplayer action will pit the three teams against each other in zones of conflict where classic movie objectives such as airspace violation, surgical bombing and air superiority will be featured.

[UPDATE 3]
Did some beta testing yesterday with some people, worked nicely, but there are some wierd things that are messing up the netcode periodically that i need to look into.
