Currently my username, "Manuel Magalh?es" (there's an "a" with a tilde in place of the question mark), appears as "Manuel Magalhães". It happens on the most recent, stable versions of both Chrome and Firefox, so I don't think it's a browser issue. While writing this post I have found out it also happens in posts.

Board titles, too: http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?board=18.0This is probably what did it. Tweeted back to Matthew with a link to this thread. Test: ?? Edit: The above was originally aeiou with umlauts over each. Turned into question marks when posted.

I wanted to change my display name to sch[oumlaut]q to show solidarity until it's fixed, but that gives an error. Changing to a name with no special character works fine.
Also post previews aren't working.

Testing database changes: テスト Edit: Alright, UTF-8 should be possible across the board now. Not sure how existing data made the change, so if your username/title/whatever is messed up just re-edit and it should be fine! Hopefully there aren't a bunch of mangled posts in the archive now

That's odd, in which places do squares appear?

not in your name, weird european character works now Testing database changes: テスト
this I can't ✧My Website✧ This too (opening and ending character) So I guess I need to update the charset I don't know how to do and how it is called, I don't know where or what to look for that.

I see Japanese characters in that post, so perhaps your computer doesn't support them, hence the squares. Maybe this solves it for you? As for my signature, if you see two symbols that look like rotated squares (✧), then it's displaying properly, otherwise I'll have to check it out.

Maybe if we're lucky it's only posts that were made in the last few days while it was broken. Here's a post from April 12th with some non-ASCII characters still intact: http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=18560.msg1128978#msg1128978Preview is working for me over here. What OS/browser are you on (and what behavior are you seeing?)
Preview works for me (Chrome on OS X), but I noticed that it now loads an entirely new page, whereas before it would be dynamically generated and displayed without leaving the current page. I still see "Fetching preview..." for a moment before it reloads.
