Haha, yeah, any tips on getting the most from it?

I was playing around with mic stuff and was getting mixed results at best; nothing as cool/simply as in the tech demo.

I haven't yet delved into that fancy stuff, I just draw like I normally would with the default shapes brush, it yields some really nice results.

The Affect>Displace combined with anything is the most trippiest shit I ever seen in an art program.

I created a creepy mech-like ape thing with a prettyful scarf. I'm not very good with this Alchemy program, but it's fun at least. Grin

That's awesome, Knite!  Grin

It look more organic than mech, but it's still cool.  Smiley

I think with something as freeform as Alchemy, having fun is more important than being good at it!  Smiley

Masna: I quite like your creation as you already know. Did you use a tablet? I still need to get one! Droop

Thanks!  Yes, I did.  Smiley  You should really get one!  If what you're doing now is with just a mouse, I can't even imagine what awesome things you could do with a tablet.  Gentleman

Not having an Undo (CTRL+Z) option is really bumming me out

Yeah, same here. My first creation actually turned out really well, it was a panda mech, and it rocked... I don't know how I actually made something that great, but whatever. Anyway, I was talking to a friend of mine at the same time, and he reminded me of somewhere I had to go like, right that minute, so I totally freaked out, clicked a random location trying to minimize the IM window, but by accident clicked in the Alchemy window and ruined the whole thing. LOL How stupid...

But at the same time, I appreciate the lack of undo, because it helps me to counteract the trouble I have with perfectionism sometimes. Watercolours already helped me with that quite a bit, but Alchemy will just help to reinforce that.

Yeah, that was a pretty big design decision on the part of the creators; they wanted people to use the software loosely, and I think this works pretty well with that end in mind.

Wait, you mean that was on purpose? I thought they didn't do it yet seeing it's still in alpha stages
