ARCANE DEPTHS 2D Action Platformer with Roguelike elements UNIQUE FEATURES - Ability to change classes during each run - Certain items can only be used by certain classes - For example: A fiery sword which deals 15 more damage only deals more damage if your current class is the Warrior class - Only way to recover health is by changing classes - This introduces tough decision making: Should I change my class and lose my powerful items + class combo? Or should I face the boss with lower health? PLANNED FEATURES - Random terrain generation each run - 5 classes each with 5 unique skills - 4 biomes and 1 final boss arena - 20 epic items DEVELOPER I'm just an eighth grade student who enjoys spending his free time creating games Please help me out by giving me suggestions on ways to improve the game UPDATES I'll probably post dev logs everyday LINKS

NEW STUFF NAME CHANGE: From "Arcanium" to "ARCANE DEPTHS" - Added 2 new skills for the Warrior class - Implemented better "game feel" Ground Slam Aura Shield Explosions and better damage system

Why did you copy the hud from risk of rain? I suspect you'll get a lot of hate for this. Just sayin' Yeah, HUD and credit counter look exactly like in risk of rain and you also mention in your title that it's inspired by it. You should really change this and try to come up with mechanics of your own. It will help to give your game its own identity and avoid a lot of trouble. Graphics look cute so far, but the similarities leave a bitter taste.

I will most likely change the entire game's art for the final version. This Flash version is sort of like the "Meat Boy" on Newgrounds. If the response is good for the game, I will further expand and develop the game for Steam like "Super Meat Boy."

Desert Enemies: Sand Crab: - Follows player when in range - Slashes claw when player gets close Slime: - Jumps left and right randomly - Shoots sand projectiles at player randomly Vulture: - Flies and hunts down player - Lays eggs that hatch into Sand Slimes Desert Scorpion: - Follows player when in range - Charges player when close

Finished remaining 2 skills for the Ranger class Telekinetic Arrows - - Fires 10 arrow projectiles that can be controlled with the arrow keys (player is immobile during telekinesis) Arrow Burst - - Fires 20 arrow projectiles in a random direction (360 degrees)
