That video is super short! Seems intriguing. But I feel like your gifs/videos could tell more about the game. Seems neat! Best of luck!

Yes you are right.
The problem is that I currently only have only two options, both unsatisfying:
1. Record on desktop (like last video), but the game is not well playable with mouse, because current control makes use of multitouch (first release will be Android).
2. Record on Android, but only possible without sound or bad (microphone) sound. Even with Android 5.1.1 there is still no support for video+sound...

 Sad Sorry I don't know much about Android dev for any tips on that. Wonder if anyone else on the forums could help.

No problem. The only workaround is rooting the device, but that is currently not an option for me. I think, I will just stick with desktop recording.

Magic spell: Thunderstruck

Magic spells are special abilities which can be learned through upgrades. The Thunderstruck is a lightning bolt which bounces on terrain.

The Cube
I reworked the behavior of the Cube and its interceptors.
The Cube continuously sends out small interceptor cubes.
The small cubes approach the ball in loops and finally encircle it.

I'm currently working on some puzzles. I'm trying to make them intuitive. Most puzzles will be physics based, which makes them quite intuitive.
For example, the barriers can be rotated and interact with other things.

Vault traps

I just created this array of traps. When a trap is activated, it opens, and then (eventually) eject a burst of fire.
I cannot tell the details and how they can be safely passed, because it's the players task to find this out...

The trap animation is rendered with blender and the fire animation is done with the libgdx particle system.

The libGDX particle editor

Part of libGDX is a particle editor, a powerful tool to create particle effects. I used it to create the vault trap fire effect.
You can edit the effect parameters in a GUI which is very handy for quick creation of particle effects.
