Magmon ability: Magmaburst

One special ability of the evil Magmon is to cast the powerful Magmaburst spell. This pyroclastic burst can not only repel approaching shots, but turns them into hazardous blazing projectiles.
This means, that's not wise to fire lots of shots at him, because the Magmon can use that against yourself. To make matters worse, the Magmon will also block single aimed shots with his horns. Tricky to beat him...

The current Medusa behavior implementation:
  • each tentacle is controlled individually
  • the tentacle's behavior has currently three basic states: lurk, withdraw, attack
  • a tentacle will always try to keep moving to avoid (its head) getting hit
  • the Medusa itself should also attack and get some special ability, any ideas?

Your game's art has a beautiful strangeness to it.  Gomez
I love the way you layer the details (bushes etc), even though its a left-right scroller each scene looks like an actual place with depth.

Thanks! The scenery and creatures are supposed to be completely "out of this world". Good to know, that this is the right direction, I will try to keep this strangeness Smiley

Debris always helps sell it--it looked a bit washed out before.

Thanks for feedback. The debris scatter around when a "meteor" hits the ground - or the orb which should be avoided Smiley
The "washed out" is intentionally, especially in the background. This volcanic world is supposed to have an atmosphere with lots of dust particles which absorb light.

The Asteroids Memorial

In one of the caves you will find the Asteroids Memorial complex, where you can (and have to) play a "retro game-in-game".

The Runestone Matrix

With the Runestone Matrix you can upgrade the orb. The idea is, that each upgrade is represented by a runestone. You touch a stone to get information about the upgrade and apply the upgrade.

The Suzanne statue. A tribute to Blender.

I'm using various open source software in my game development.
Blender is a 3D modeling software with great capabilities and it's free.
I recommend to give it a try:
