more tinkering with the out-door zone. Changing the lights a bit, and adding improved clouds: and some people told me it was weird monitors didn't blow up when hit by rockets.. so fixed that! That gutted screen sprite is really satisfying! Thank you to whoever recommended adding it. Also does the dust move turn by turn or constantly? Hard to tell in the timelapsey gif.

A week of polishing the interface while I get ready to release the "early access" beta to pre-orders.. nerve-wrecking as with all releases! Character select is still pretty rough and needs some work, but the start is there: button and dialog interfaces are kept "simple" and bright oh and just some extra eye-candy from one of the early moon-base levels:

This looks amazing! I'm always on the lookout for a new OrangePixel game, and this looks worth the wait. I agree with earlier comments about it looking like a turn-based Nuclear Throne, but that's by no means a bad thing. If anything I think Nuclear Throne borrows a lot visually from earlier OrangePixel games anyway.

The game is done! With an official PC release date set for January 12th 2016 on Steam and Humble store. With the mobile version following early February. Updated the OP with official release date (January 12th 2016) and new banner and images. Check the trailer here:
