I really loved the demo in a "oh my damn i hate this game" way.
Does that makes sense?
I liked the hidden spikes and difficulty because i found it hilarious.
my friend would watch me play and every time i died she would go "what have we learned?"
The simple gameboy graphics are also sweet.
Keep up the good work.

Wow.. I didn't notice this game until now. I just played the demo to the end, and I really liked it. Like others said, I had some problems jumping off edges, but other than that I thought the difficulty was perfect. Love the music. And the transition room is cool..

There should be the final release within a few weeks, once Flashy finds time from his busy college crunch time. There's been a jumping buffer added to make it more forgiving, so stay tuned for that.

Really? Hmm...I'll have to take a look at that. What OS are you running it on? Also, the current record for speedrunning the game is: 2 minutes, 14 seconds by TwinGalaxies.com's Ben Greenman, the current speedrun record holder for Contra (11 minutes, 2 seconds), Startropics 2: Zoda's Revenge (2 hours, 3 minutes, 48 seconds) and certain parts of SotC. Try it.

I've now realized it's not a problem with your game, however I've only seen one other game thats done it - The newest Indie brawl build, which I was able to play fine before. However in indie brawl, it only zooms in at the menu, and in game when the characters are close together. (closest zoom) It looks fine at any other zoom. I'm going to guess that it has to do with views, since most gamemaker games work fine, and both of these games have views. Also, I know it's a recent problem, since I was able to play indie brawl fine before, on the same build, but it doesn't work now. (well it works, but you know what I mean)
I probably should have edited my post earlier, to save you some trouble. Oh and... Dell XPS 420, Vista Home premium service pack 1, 32bit, Intel core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.4GHz, 4 GB ram I'm sure thats more than enough technical info.
EDIT: I just jury-rigged a game I've made to have views. Stuck some random numbers in so I only see part of the room, but no zooming glitch. However this complicates things since we don't what the problem is. (or at least I don't)

Thanks! We originally envisioned it around 15 levels or such. The last level is still missing, though, so we've still got something in store!

Love the style of this, and the music, but unseen spikes randomly killing me really annoys me. Am I missing something or is it really a case of getting killed and memorising?

I loved it!
Really difficult but that is what makes the game what it is! I liked everything and the ending was pretty cool.

I still have that zoomed in glitch. It was fixed in Indie brawl by changing quality from 1 to 0, but I don't know what the equivalent of that is here.
