I don't really make a point of posting in these compo threads, but I must say, this game looks freaking gorgeous.

I can't wait to play it!

Some more in-engine stuff.

This mech reminds me of a very cool Snes game Mechwarrior. Cool

Out of curiosity, Toastie, what programming language and library(ies) are you using?

C++ with my own 3D engine.

OpenGL currently, though it's abstracted out. I've been sort of playing with the idea of writing a DirectX renderer for it, but my main development environment is OSX anyway, so I haven't had any reason to do it other than the occasional pangs of curiosity.

Yeah, same here, and I can't remember if they ever had (I think they may have a couple days ago, but I can't seem to remember).

That's a shame that the hosting service is down. Those screenshots conveyed emotion and story like nothing I've seen. I was literally moved to tears by the amount of effort you are dedicating to this.

I'm working on some networking stuff right now, which is not really screenshottable. Soon though!

Just thought I would post an update to this.

I have been hard at work writing a networking engine that will be used for this game, so while I don't have any new screenshots to show, a lot of work has been done. I will begin to merge the networking work with the graphical work i've done so far sometime this week, so expect more updates soon.

Toastie. You're not communicating in screenshots. I am confused.
