Okay I'm going to cancel this one for the moment (not that anyone cares LOL).
I realize this would not be a very interesting use for the concept of cockpit but I'll keep working on the game and I'll try to finish it after the comop.
Now I'm going to put all my energy into cockpit project "B" (and perhaps "C" too?).

Actually, after a discussion in TIGirc, I think it would have been cool if this were some sort of simplified 4x strategy game you play from the perspective of a throne room, complete with evil cackling whenever your ships were victorious.
