Is anybody here planning on organizing a get together for TIGSource people? I for one am totally new to the indie scene, and though I am not terribly active yet on these forums, I would love to meet you all face to face. (The only way so far that some of you may know me is that I participated in the most recent mini Ludum Dare under the moniker Hamburger.)

I'm sure there will be plenty of other indie dev parties and whatnot over the course of the week, which may completely overlap with this. I'm out of this loop though, and don't know about them. What are they?

Thanks everyone.  Beer!

i'm guessing it's about GDC...

we should have a picnic. an indie picnic somewhere in a park and we can blow those big bubbles, fly some kites and wear ascots and just generally have a really wholesome time.

really i just say that because mon/tue days are booked for IGS but wed/thur/fri should be free. most nights are filled with events, dinners and inter-indie-sex so let's get drunk in a park under the noon sun or something.

As long as we can exclude people, and talk about why we create the only true games. Cave Story

Get together sounds like fun. Oh, we can drink stuff from brown paper bags in USA.
I'm looking forward to it.

Of course I was talking about GDC, silly.

How about a picnic at Golden Gate Park? If there are more than 25 people, a $25 permit is necessary--and I'm pretty sure they enforce these things in San Francisco.

We're pretty much all together throughout GDC... you should just hook up with us!

Join The Facebook Group and we can coordinate through there.  I could give you my phone number too. Hand Thumbs Up Right

Instead there's the Yerba Buena Gardens behind the Metreon which is right next to the convention center.
