I bet you $20 they are going to Bomberman: Act Zero the shit out of that movie. It'll be all about angsty square-jawed American Gladiators who ride on robot birds with sweet under-lighting.

If they make those ostriches robotic, I swear I am going to punch someone in the ear. That is the one condition for me to see this movie: real fucking ostriches.

I have to admit drawing Joust stuff as well...

I think, if handled correctly, the Joust universe could offer a very original setting. Imagine the culture and society centered around ostrich/emu/buzzard riding knights.

The cabinet art offers some design insights aswell.

Yeah, I've made Joust sprites too. Had a three-player deathmatch thing working on a blank black screen. Such was the ignoble fate of all my amiga games; I really didn't know what I had in my hands at the time Sad

In fact I recently had an idea for a game called "Joust Quest" where you'd be a knight on a bird exploring the Joustworld. I started pixeling for it and everything.

Haha, I've done this before too.
Shit, me too. Sounds like everyone's had this idea. Someone should get it out of the way so we can all stop thinking we're at all original.

Argh!  And yet I'm totally unable to find this page I had seen of the developer's original concept drawings.
