That house scene is really good. I think it's the objects that are 2D or otherwise are facing the camera that are throwing off the perspective and making it feel like a concept drawing. The textures and seemingly unfinished pillows help with this feeling, too. Nice work, really.
@mono - Good start! Maybe make the colors brighter to stand out from the blue background a bit more.

It's been ages since I bothered to crack open a 3D program and get some modeling done. But the current programming project I'm on needs a little art to bump it up a notch. I sculpted this kitty as a base mesh for some basic normal mapping for a model that I'm going to be using in Unity. I need an example mesh for the lip-sync plug-in I'm upgrading. I had already made another model for demonstration purposes, but it wasn't a very good looking model, and most of the comments I got on it were not positive. I think the kitty will fit better. It's a bit of a rough sculpt. And it doesn't have that much detail, so I'll probably render a lower-resolution normal map from it. (mainly just want to get some of the creases and finer details) But it's a good base for the retopology.
