@swordofkings128
Oh man, your work reminds me of the artsy late night cartoons that I would see on tv as a kid Shocked
I understand what I'm looking at but it's off enough from it's real life counter part anatomically, texturally, and lighting wise just enough that it makes me slightly uncomfortable Tongue (Plus the GENESLIZZ EP is helping this effect) Keep doing you Hand Thumbs Up Right

In case you didn't know, that effect is called "the uncanny valley".

Also thanks swordofkings128 for linking my EP. I'm really happy with that art.

My attempt at a low-poly Sonic. I wasn't happy with any of the 3D models used in the Saturn (especially the quills) so I tried my own take on it. If my calculations are correct this should be 146 quads (of which only four are textured) and 142 vertices. I should turn this into an actual Saturn model some day.

Texture glitches because I took the lazy route, didn't bother much since they shouldn't appear on a real Saturn anyway. Also all the "shading" is fake (no actual lighting, just colored vertices), honestly I'd just ditch that in favor of more polygons on screen. We're talking about weak hardware after all.

That's very nice! I quite like how crisp the style is.

I've made a new face for one of my Ethios characters; his previous one was, like, five years old:

No face textures yet, though.

You could have made key of ethios 1 2 and 3 with all these changes and have a series that would have rivaled zelda by now Sad (says the guy who stale his game because of similar perfectionism). Keep changes for a sequel, I have frozen my design too!

My attempt at a low-poly Sonic.

Heck yeaaa~

I just finished this piece. It's not for a game but i'd love to hear feedback!  Grin

Really cool. I feel like you could do a bit more to make it feel "hammer-ly" while still keeping the "natural" feel, too. Maybe wrap two strings around the ends to emphasize the "HAMMER" shape?

Walls need another pass...

Nice and glowy. Is this for anything in particular?

@McMutton - Great work on the character's face. Keep at it! Although I do agree with gimy - you don't wanna get stuck in development heckarino. You might want to consider pushing forward on the core of the game itself, and come back to visuals maybe at the end (especially since you can get everything in one "go" at that point).

SolarLune and gimymblert: You've got good points- The game itself has definitely suffered completion due to my constant changes, but I think it's been for the better thus far. It's not just the art, but having mused on the world and story for, like, ever has allowed them to be enhanced greatly- I'm not sure I'd be happy with either after the fact if I'd completed the game any number of years ago.

However, I've now reached the point where everything has been almost completely solidified, so I definitely need to hunker down and start moving forward with the development, which is happening. Promise!

Using additive material to get a glass effect. I think I want to use this in more places.

I hope 2D sprites in a 3D world will never go out of date.

This is the ready-to-print model of Dorphal, the reaper. That is the last physical lot that we are preparing for our KickStarter campaign.

Next week, the very first master-models will be printed, which later will be painted manually. Would you like to get such a statue?

Some scenes for an indie scifi adventure game, I hope you guys enjoy it. Definitely need to calibrate the movement speed and animations, as well as a ton of polishing in every aspect. Also trying to work on moving away from stock assets.
