Star Control 2, the player's ship? Yes, the precursor-made flagship. I love those flat shaded models! They remind me of those early 3d games like Star Fox on the Super Nintendo or Vortex or something.
some one quick! make a flat shaded 3d game!
Too late!

That looks like fun! It'd be cool to see a game like that; a low-poly Left 4 Dead?

This looks like what Gears of War would look like if they replaced everyone with anthropomorphic, buffed-out chickens. Pretty brutal. edit: made more stuff... Unnamed Megabomber: Shot at 2009-04-10 This is how the enemy sees it: edit: Slightly modified version... which do you like better? Shot at 2009-04-10

Hey! I just posted over in the introduction thread, so I thought I'd come over and pimp some of my 3d work. This is a redesign of Marche from Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, with a Kingdom Hearts theme. And here is my current WIP that I'm doing for Dominance War 4. I have no hopes of winning but at least I'll get a good portfolio piece out of it.

This is good stuff all around.
@ Chris Pavia: I like the hulking beast dude a lot. I keep telling myself that "I'm not an artist, so my 3d stuff just has to serve as shorthand for something cooler", but I really wish I could do what you can do.

Thanks! I feel pretty much the same way about programming. I can script some simple prototypes together, but I really wish I had the knowledge to do something from scratch or tackle more complex functions.

Nice effects! I remember having some morbid fun with the meat paint effect when I first discovered it

I needed a break from all the high poly work I've been doing, so I took some time out to do some fan art for one of my recent favorites: and here's a slightly different version where I was playing around with some real time shaders to get a Mario Galaxy style rim lighting: I used the games loading image as my character reference, but took some liberties with details.

Nice work, maintained the look of the original. I like how the shirt and jacket came out, you modeled them both out and kept it low poly and still looking good..

Thanks guys! I had a lot of fun with this guy, I think after I finish my freelance work I'm going to do some more 3d renditions of my favorite indie game characters.
