Thanks! I've considered making a gbc mode before, but yeah, it'd take way too long.
Also, woohoo! Page two baybay.

Nah it's alright, I would do it myself if I really wanted it. Also yeah it's getting done for sure. I'm working in-game settings right now. After that I just need to make the gamemodes work, and then make a victory screen.

Options are done. It feels great to actually make a game correctly, this is the first real settings menu I've ever made The fullscreen toggle works, but for some reason licecap didn't record it.

Creative menus are awesome A lot of smaller games kinda forget to make a good first impression with them.

Those menus looks really solid. You've squeezed a ton of juice out of a very minimal style, well done!

This is a thread for games not genders. What's up with snowing hard and beautiful, you haven't posted in forever.

i thought this thread was for your game
anyway, and yes you are right holy shit,
-mike hasn't gotten back to me in forever, but i haven't emailed him again in a hot minute about it either so i should, otherwise i need to find another programmer -i'm stalled for now since my computer has kicked the bin, so i gotta get a new one. somehow. once i do it's back in full force -i'm mostly done painting version 1 of the first area, have to add incidental animations and more parallax layers -a few of the big setpiece art assets are close to finished -it's still planned for coming out 02/02/2020 -i lost the files for the music i did for ishab but i still have the mp3s so i can work with that for the ones i lost -the central curio collection gimmick requires i write a full length novel so i'm figuring that out (about 30% done on that front?)
anyway

Well good on you for truck'n on without much resources. If I have to make one more bloody menu I'm going to throw up. Next thing to do is make the two last gamemodes.

I like the menu more than the game? But seriously, the menus are real sweet and the screenshake is great in the countdown and when jumping on the POW block.

Thanks a lot King of the hill gamemode is done. You can only score points if you're the king, and the crown re-spawns at a central point.

I am cannot get enough of that retro style! The screen shake is nicely done, the gameplay looks addictive, and the menus really look polished. My one suggestion is that the gamemode selection is a bit hard to read when the text is vertically formatted.
I'm keeping an eye on this game. Looks really fun, especially the 2 player mode.

One thing though, it's just a two player mode. I have no idea how to go about making AI for one person to play against, and I really doubt anyone would care for it.

I absolutely love the look of this. The Gameboy stylings don't feel like a gimmick (as they so easily could) because you've nailed that crunchy videogame feel with the effects and art (I love that little jump particle). Is it somewhat inspired by the old game Jump n Bump? I used to love that.
