Hi there, i've been told that i'll get more of a response in this forum than in the announcements one, so maybe someone could delete that thread? I'm interested in what people have to say, as it will affect where i take the game next update. Sorry for the multiple posts etc.

I released a game! it's called Space Phallus and you can play it on Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. here is a video link ( i couldn't work out how to embed the video)

Anyway, i'd really like it if you would have a go at the game and let me know what you think. you can grab a copy of it from here:

the download links are at the bottom of the page.

I fucking loved this game. It's wonderfully paced, everything just fits together perfectly. It's the best horizontal shooter I've played in ages. Beer!

Holy shit, the feeling of the gameplay in this game is just spot on.

Who cares about the graphics when something plays as wonderful as this?

Also, the music and sound effects are brilliant!

PS. I was testing the OS X version.

@Terry and eobet, cheers, glad you like it Smiley

@Steven, it's pretty easy once you've learned the patterns...

Hahahahahah, this was pretty fun! Love the animations Wink

Can't help but feel that the "tanks" at the bottom might've been more organic and less mechanical. It does away with the general theme of the game a bit.

Otherwise, hilarious and hard (especially since I've never really played these kinds of games much before) Smiley

You can tell I'm letting some "steam" off (steam HAHAHA) when I've reached the 5th place on the highscore at 3am! Can't figure out how the other guys got a score that huge. I'm guessing they didn't die and didn't use any missiles either - somehow - since the only way to get bombs back seems to be by dying.

Also, I've noticed in the first few seconds of the level you're firing slightly faster. After the big wave of... erm... spernemies... you lose some of that firepower permanently. Am I missing something? You can tell by the intervals between the shots if you look closely.

Actually, you can probably get past that second boss without using bombs, so you can store missiles for quite a few waves. Hmmmm. Well, that's an objective for when I need to clear my head from work Smiley
