Last year I did a 24 hour game, and live~ish tweeted it. It was a blast and people seemed to like it, maybe this format will be a little better for interactivity?

This time though I'm giving myself 48 hours, so I can make it a bit more complete, and not completely abandon the family, heh  Cool

I started at 9:45 this morning with a quick sketch, and just finished up the design comps a few minutes ago. I'm in Unity on Linux (mint 17.1), with Krita, Gimp, and Sunlime 3.

I would do this on Twitch but OBS has been super crashy for me. Anyway, I'll respond to any posts here or on twitter @tophermade .

Initial Sketch of the idea

I'm primarily using 2 layers for collision, one Touch and on for the Planetary bodies. This way I can make custom collider shapes for impacts that are different from the touch regions. Then I use the 2dPhysics properties to prevent the two layers from colliding.

Project window looks like this now. Yellow points on the orbit path are potential planet spawn locations.

Put the Play! menu together. Figured I'd use it for testing actions instead of temporary gui buttons that I'll just have to remove anyway.

Planet sizes are wayyyy off, impossible with the designed scale. Refactoring :/

Got a little behind on the updates, but did finish and put it up on Play if anyone wants to give it a whirl. No ads or anything, just free.
