Toys of War is a local-multiplayer arcadey action game where players take control of different military vehicles and battle it out in a variety of different standard and party game modes.

The game takes place in a military bunker during a war in an alternate reality. Despite currently being under attack, the generals are still planning their next moves on the war table in the middle of the bunker. Players take control of the vehicle pieces on the table that come alive as battle simulations in the minds of the generals.

Background
Toys of War has been in development for a few months now. Several people have touched the game but most only work on it in spare time, a few hours a week. All of the people working on it are fresh out or still finishing off their university course, which is where we met each other. The lack of experience doing something like this before has been a big hurdle but it's something that we just try to push through and make sure we are constantly learning.

Game Features
The game is local multiplayer up to four players. There is AI implemented but it seems unlikely that it will be fully functional for all of the party game modes. Players can choose out of four vehicles currently to do battle but we are looking at upping that to six shortly. There are a number of "standard" game modes  such as deathmatch with a few variants on that in regards to respawning and point scoring. There are also a good deal of "party" game modes, with some currently implemented ones being a racing gamemode and a bullet hell gamemode.

Seriously that looks and a ton of fun! I'd love to hear the soundtrack and audio for it!

Thanks a lot, that's great to hear. Sound and audio is unfortunately a problem for us as we're all programmers and artists but it's something we're trying to sort out. Hopefully it's something I'll be able to show off soon.
