For this challenge, there are 3 options! 1.) Make music using pizzicato or any short strings in it. 2.) Make music that conveys anger. 3.) Make music that represents being tipsy. It could be a song with short strings like in the world maps of Final Fantasy (notably ff8), doom metal, or party music; maybe even 90s dance music with pizz sounds! Combine options if you like - it's up to you to choose which would sound appealing!

Rules are that it should be kept forum friendly (nothing explicit), be at least a minute long, and should be a new track made for this challenge - tho I wouldn't know.

With Halloween coming up, a Halloween theme is encouraged!

On that note, this challenge will be open for submissions until Friday, October 23. Please include a link to your track in this forum if participating. Voting will run from the 24th to the 30th and the winner will be announced on Halloween! Winner, as always, gets to host the next challenge!!

That's it! It's time! Let's get Pizzed!   Grin

I love pizz since it's the string technique best realized by sample libraries by far :v

I'm really looking forward to hearing what everyone makes too!  I may even make one even if it's null and void just to join in on the fun! Tongue

Okie dokie, here's my submission. It's VERY different from something I normally do, so t's aptly named Avant Garde. I'm interested in hearing feedback as I think this is a very open to interpretation kind of track   Waaagh!

It has short strings AND a tipsy sort of feel. (Weird tipsy, definitely not the normal kind.)

I'm really liking that that track, Pearl Pixel!  Definitely has the tipsy (and puppies Wink) thing going on in the start which is a neat way to introduce the music.  It really gets me imagining all sorts of scenery.  Nice job!!

Here are some other plugs to get the inspiration going:

Hey all! I'm very new to TiG Source... I signed up about a year ago but never really did anything until M4uesviecr reminded me about it, haha.

Anyway, wouldn't mind trying my hand at a musical challenge, if that's OK! Are there any special rules I need to know other than what is in the first post here?

Hey all!

Here's my first TIGSource Challenge entry! I liked the example you provided of "Blue Fields" from Final Fantasy VIII, and decided to start the track off with a pizzicato pattern, and repeat it though the whole piece.

However, I took a different approach in that I wanted to present the same pattern in two different contrasting contexts: one of hopelessness Sad and one of hope Smiley. I dedicate this song to anyone struggling with hopelessness and named the track "There Is Hope".

Hope you enjoy!
