Are you fucking ready...

for SPEEDBEAR?

If you were wondering what classic arcade games were missing, I've figured it out (bears in speedboats).

I just felt like making a game tonight and had a couple hours free. Turned out pretty decent, though. I think.

Is it a B-game? Well, I went in with no concept, and crapped this out a few hours later without really testing or fixing anything (I think the difficulty curve could use some sharpening earlier and smoothing later, but screw it). So if you don't hate it I guess I've succeeded a little bit.

I was kinda disappointed with this up to the point where the giant eyeball came to life and started chasing me. Then it got awesome. Unfortunately that's also when I died.
Overall a cool little game.

I'm not unconvinced that the flickering eyeball isn't going to give me some sort of seizure, but... bear on a speedboat? You can't beat that! No-one can beat that!

Life is now meaningless. (If it wasn't already before.)

Unfortunately that's also when I died.
And unfortunately the slow start makes it hard to want to jump back in...

So even though I said I wasn't going to fix anything, downloads have been updated to v1.1. Now the blue bear is selectable (hold shift when you press 2) and he starts on stage 8. The downside is that you miss out on the points and coins you would've recieved on the first few levels.
