Hehe yes sorry I was teasing. Basically if you look at the assembly code, it replaces the WE5T0NE0000000 password with MKWHWBZTY3J0GP which is an actual legit password. So WE5T0NE0000000 is an hardcoded specific case obviously.

You can check on our site what the password MKWHWBZTY3J0GP does in term of stats:

That was just an overly literal answer to the question "what will the password WE5T 0NE 0000 000 do" asked above!

This is amazing. I tried to get my kids to play WB3 so many times, it's one of the best metroidvania that isn't Metroid or Castlevania out there... I remember each and every places you showed in your trailer, I can't wait to play this.

That being said, the crumbling castle needs to shake... it really needs to. That shake used to confuse me so much when I was a kid, I felt like a bad ass being able to get out of it with all the blocks falling and the shaking going on.

And for people finding this thread after release: Go left the first time you get in the desert. Left. Not right. I spent 2 weeks of my life trying to get through the Lava world without the Dragon Mail... until a schoolyard friend told me to go left... games didn't go left back then...

Visuals are gorgeous, attention to detail is amazing. Some levels seems a bit flat, having all gameplay on the same height, which contrast with the beautiful background.

Yo! I had a chance to look over the gameplay vid, and while everything looks interesting, I have a couple of questions.

1. There seems to be a lot of walking in open fields and planes (flatlands) - I know that was how it was in the original game, but does it seem like there might be too much walking with too little variation? It might just be the sections shown in the video.

2. The Lion character's attack range seems shorter than his sword would allow - perhaps that should be altered (either giving him more range, or shortening the sword's length)? You can see the player in the gameplay vid definitely has trouble with the combat portions with the Lion, as he has to get really close to enemies to attack. It's a definite point of interest, anyway.
