This manga effect looks great but why is there only little girls driving the tanks?

Whell, that is the way it was designed from start as the main mode. Initially it was planned to be a "serious mode" but the project failed in Kickstarter so considering its hard enough stuff like have voice overs just for the cute crew among other stuf this is how it will be for now. If release goes fine and people wants a more serious mode with thermals and some serious crew etc will be time to consider. More serious maps are already halfway based on initial idea testings. Updated the demolition video because it was captured in teh superwidemonitor and in the phone the video its almost invisible. //--------------------------------------- Here you can see initial phase material, totally different style. This material was totally ignored so project was redesigned. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Hje4n_4fDchttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vTHDM-FSp8I

Maybe Hephep was asking about why there's only cute manga girls driving the tanks, but not a single manga boy within them? If not, I'd ask. Or even cute old fat manga commander with huge moustaches. Equality ftw. =)
Problem with realistic war setting is that it looks pretty generic, all of them kinda looks the same and it's a bit hard to expect anything new from them. Same old dust, same old soldiers in same old rags, boring. While manga mode looks quite fresh and makes to expect unusual stuff (on PC for sure, for consoles it's maybe not so rare thing, dunno).

Ah yes ok I understand. Manga boy voice overs are done also, but graphic part is not, so not this initial release. But I would add that many people will feel confortable with this, specially fans of Girls und Panzer. Love the fatty commander proposal . Totally agree on the second part regarding the style. I was unaware that videos could be properly embeded!. Modified the demolition link. edit: forgot to add this vid. This is the moment when the project finally twisted towards what now is.

yes sorry my question was not clear. I understand that cute manga girls may appeal more people that simply tanks, and I was not aware of the kickstarter fail so I totally understand the choice of having a more appealing design. But at first it seems from the communication point of view that there will be only girls to play, and yes it is the main topic of a manga anime, but to me it's reductive, I think the main strength of you game is before all it's topic, tanks warfare in a city, as well as this amazing manga rendering. As Shirsh suggested, other various protagonists may add to the background and the diversity. keep up the good work!

Well, the update was a freaking absolute total mess. But after several gazillion of work hours the things are starting to get better. Later past month V1.4 was released featuring a number of improvements such as new tanks, skins, new turret and camera controls and a long list of blabla. Here the new trailer Some days after 1.45 was released with a new winter map and some visual enhancements. And before this year ends support for Steam VR will be added as Oculus VR support has been ditched for several reasons:-> http://steamcommunity.com/app/486510/discussions/0/152390648080583843/a regular vid of how the game looks now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nXQE7a7n5EwThe game is on sale this week for less than 10$ and the boost in sales will help to achieve the Q1 milestones. Witch are a number. http://steamcommunity.com/games/486510/announcements/detail/702957051084027481So, thats all Tigers, three months of nighmarish nonstop work after release in order to keep alive the project. Wish I could have release the game as it is now

I'm really surprised this doesn't have more comments. The game looks fun to me, and the presentation is great. Gives me strong feelings of Virtua On/Sega arcade titles in general. Really cool. Anyway, keep up the good work!
