Yes you can dodge a missile, jump over it. OR you can just shoot it right out of the sky. Car bodies have 'health' values and bullets don't deal as much damage as rockets.

Anyway, combat design still isn't fleshed out properly. We knew we wanted it, so it's a planned feature. We'll test and balance along the way.



And Speed Racer? Why haven't I ever heard of this?  o.O

It was a flopped movie by the Wachowski's that came out at the same time as Iron Man.

The thing is that it was a bit ahead of its time and maybe a bit too true to the source material. Think "hey this is a live action version of an anime" kinda like how Scott Pilgrim is a live action comic book.

But if you can get into it is amazing.

Just a question, do you plan to have the camera a bit more distant from the action? I find it a bit too close currently, preventing to see what's coming in front of the player, but it's maybe intended.

The gif of the loop is the first time I've had a problem with the camera in what I can see of this game, it whips around way too fast there. If the loop had a larger radius, perhaps it wouldn't matter, but I don't know if I could do much as a player whilst going through the loop.

Perhaps the gifs are crops of the full-screen though? Perhaps that would be fine.

Yeah the gifs are cropped for filesize.  Wizard

And yes the camera 'travels ahead' of your car based on your movement speed. So if you'd be going at top-speed your car would be visible on the left side of the screen.
