It's a thread for posting studies! I do studies at quickposes.com It's a way to understand the human body better and to become more aware of anatomy, construction and try different approaches to drawing a human body. But in this thread, all studies are welcome, though they might just as well fit in the Art or Doodles thread. The reason I'm creating this thread regardless of these threads existing is because I would like to do as many studies per week as I can, and I'd feel bad about posting them in Doodles. But not posting them is also no fun. The internet is for showing things off. Hopefully you'll join in and hopefully we'll improve a lot. this study sucks. i haven't been drawing in a long time. it shows. i hate feeling rusty! onwards.

2minute studies mainly mean the shapes become a bit more accurate yet still very blank. still lots of hand/foot/faceless humans. I'll have to make sure to do specific hand (and foot, and face) studies later. I feel like a good approach to training would be to do some studies of a certain subject, then progress directly to freehand sketches of the same subject.

30 seconds this time! ... I hope I learn something from this. Join me in doing studies! You don't have to do timed studies on quickposes either, just do a study of something. Post it here. Post it in Art too if it's good looking! Do studies and improve with me!

MORE STUDIES PEOPLE. I try and get some in every other day at least. Love the gestural stuff you're doin', Jad. Since my weak spot is mostly finishing, been trying to push my practice a little further.

good point! I should try to get something to the point of completion too edit: more studies! 30 sec except for the strange jumproping girl who had such a weird thin body that i wanted to convey it in lines with some extra time. well, i didn't really, so whatever. not extremely proud of the result but glad that you can see my lines loosening up already compared to my first 30 seccies I can't say how glad I am you joined me in the studying! hey Conker, are you reading this? you should get in on this. you're probably tigsource's most adept at Art Improvement <3

long study of a cool picture that had such a dynamic pose that it'd have been a shame to just forget it. i think the photo is better ( https://www.flickr.com/photos/ulfbodin/7806756660/in/photostream/) i painted some artsy lines and shapes to highlight the fantastic way the model draws invisible lines in negative space that complement each other and create a sharp sense of movement without wobbliness or shakiness.

Think your jump roper and your artsy things turned out real good, lots of motion! Focused a little more on style in my studies today, so nothing for thread. Get in here you guys!

Ok don't laugh, it was my first try. So I used quickposes.com (excellent website) and I choose 90 seconds.

Rocco, THEM RENDERING SKILLS agh. I think the next kind of study I want to do is just color/color theory. I know (roughly) a bunch about drawing, but working with colors makes my head spin.
Alfoux, NICE, great start man. Keep it up!

So, about time I started. Excuse the terrible pic quality, no scanner here but you can still see the sketch lines. pencil, 60 secs per image. I'm not too happy about them but you gotta start somewhere right?

Finally uploading some! Did some stuff from quickposes.com myself! It was kind of a muscle-bodied sausage fest but hey it's all anatomy
