I'd be surprised if a single person on these forums didn't know that, considering how often stories about this are on the front page.

In no particular order:

1. Mount & Blade
2. Cave Story
3. Steam Brigade
4. N / N+
5. Braid (htf am I the only one with this on their list?)
6. Chalk
7. Eternal Daughter
8. Within A Deep Forest
9. Trilby: the Art of Theft
10. Altitude (although I'm biased since I was sort of involved)

5. Braid (htf am I the only one with this on their list?)
Possible scenarios:
- We don't have 360s.
- It's not what it's all cracked up to be.

10. Gravity Bone - I wish more games had pacing this great.
9. Facade - This game had quite an impact on me.  Also, from what I've noticed, people who play video games less tend to do better at this game.
8. Gravitation - The only art game worth playing.  Ever.
7. Crayon Physics Deluxe - Just like World of Goo, you could feel the love put into the game.
6. Clean Asia - Even though I can't beat this game, I'm addicted to its style.
5. Spelunky - It's Spelunky.
4. Gang Garrison 2 - My favorite indie multiplayer game.  Which makes since, since TF2 is my favorite regular multiplayer game.
3. World of Goo - This was my "Cave Story".  It showed me how great an indie game (or game for that matter) can be.
2. Noitu Love 2 - Every second I play of this game gives me a really happy feeling.  And the sound is just icing on the cake.
1. Knytt Stories - The closest I've seen any game come to perfection.

I did not enjoy any part of Cave Story.  I tried to, at least. Shrug

I can't choose 10, but here are some of my favorites:

Guxt (by Pixel, same guy who made Cave Story, as you already know)
Spelunky
Banana Nababa
Dino Run
Mega Man 2
...
Ok, I cheated for the last one, but it's almost indie if you know the story behind the development of the game.

How do you know about number 2 if you are positive on number 1? Undecided

Don't worry about it, JLJac. People have different tastes.

I didn't include it because the story wasn't interesting to me. The gameplay was nice, but at many areas (mostly the last) there was a repetitive aspect to it, and there are some game mechanics (like the fact that jumping on enemies multiple times makes you jump higher) just aren't mentioned at all.

You don't need a 360 to try it.

Yeah, I was just fooling around...

Braid isn't cup of tea either. The game is bad gameplay/story mixing in flesh, it's pretty hard to imagine a way to separe the two than to make the story readable as text you get acces to as you play.
