This is the sprite of the second boss, Mummy/Mummified Mold (still haven't decided the final name, though):

That smiling rock with spikes will be orbitting the other, bigger creature, and cannot be harmed. Oh, and it'll also reflect bullets.

A screenshot of the third stage. I won't add any enemies to it (when the "Mission" text goes away it is replaced by "Coming Soon!" text) until I get the first alpha/beta version released. Probably I'm going to skip Ludum Dare that begins soon. No time for game development, have to develop games!

Good news!

The build 0.2.1 is finished. So...? It's the first public build. Now I just have to take some screenshots and upload the game to Game Jolt, then the game is playable by everyone! I might not release until tomorrow, though, making the game page takes some time and I might want to play it through before the release, only to make sure there aren't any game-breaking glitches that prevents players getting further.

The version will include missions 1 and 2 with both normal and ghost bosses. The mission 3 is selectable, too, it even has graphics and music (like the previous post suggests), but it won't have any enemies, only 'Coming soon' text (I probably mentioned this already EDIT: Yes, I did).

FANTASY ZOOOONE! I love the sense of humor, and the authentic retroness of it all. I do think it could benefit from a modern aspect ratio. Does it always have to be played with the CRT effect? Looks hella challenging, but please let me restate, I love the humor and the retroness!

No, it can be disabled.




The version 0.4.0 is now playable on Game Jolt. It has some cool new features like:
- Mission 4: Post-apocalyptic Paradise
- Survival Bonus: it will give you crystals depending on how long you survived before you died
- Dropped prices of the skill upgrades a lot
