Add a checkpoint before the wall of doom and then we will talk.

I'll think about it. I just didn't think the wall was all that hard.  Tongue

A little too difficult for my tastes, but I appreciate the Modest Mouse reference.  Neat game.

I'd like to point out that the game's name is completely immemorable and unpronounceable, i.e. very bad.

(That's odd, "immemorable" isn't a word? It certainly should be)

The name is actually the only reason I played it, as I know what australopithecus is.  However, I fear I may be one of the few that does.  Tongue

I played it, and I beat it Smiley.  Shit's tough as nails.

Add a checkpoint before the wall of doom and then we will talk.

That wall is the least of your worries Smiley.  And if you think this is hard, thank your lucky stars that lokijki changed the control scheme from "press up to jump."  That was pretty much impossible.

Haven't played the new version with the new ending yet, though... I'm still recovering from my previous playthrough.  Seriously, fuck those underwater spikes WTF

This felt like a mix of Knytt and I Wanna Be The Guy.

I liked it Smiley

Dunno what else I'd call it, really. I'm sure there's something, but through the entire development process pretty much the app was called "Square Dude."

I also might make an easier version of the game (small changes and more save points) at some point.

'K, sorry for the double post. Uploading a new separate version, titled the "Kitty Edition." Beyond changing the dog to a cat, the game is much easier and has more save points, as I said I would do before. So, to those who want to see the pretty lame ending without being challenged in the least, here ya go.

(I don't think its as cool. Debating whether or not I should leave it up, kinda ruins the game in my opinion.)

Don't change your game from what you think it should be because of other people, at least not in the example of difficulty.

If what you wanted to make was a hard game, leave your game hard; don't dumb it down for others (to be frank to others).

Now, bug fixes you can do, but overall you shouldn't have to change your game feeling just because an audience doesn't "get" it. That's the point of indie gaming; you make whatever you want, rather than mainstreaming it.

And I dunno why I just ranted at you, but my advice is now more valid than anyone else's. Or something.

Yeah, well, just wanted to give some people the option. I do  feel kinda stupid putting up an easier version of a game intentionally made hard... Its really more for some people I know who want to play it but just aren't into games enough to even get past the easy parts.

I might take it down, then, soon.

(The one other reason I made it is because having a cat completes the song)

Holy crap that is hard. Great fun though, and not (so far) as ridiculously hard as IWBTG, thank god.

Thanks, overall the feedback has been good. (Most complaints are about the difficulty)

Also, just saw Modest Mouse (the game is a reference to one of their songs) last night. I'm happy now.
