Our 3rd time in LD! We're happy because things have gone better, faster and stronger this time :D. Strong like our game where you play as Heimdall (a viking god) and you must smash head's monster. We've called this genre "back & slash". We hope you enjoy it! http://ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-34/?action=preview&uid=50652

Had some trouble exporting and uploading in the end, so I was up way too late. My final rush ended on something like 22 hours awake (after 5 hours of sleep), so I did not bother posting stuff online, but went straight to bed. x: But now is the time! I present...
PLAY, YOU FOOLS! Didn't really have the time to make the hair in game look quite as impressive as in the above artwork, but it ended up a fun mechanic to play with anyhow. Throw your hair in all directions to swing from golden plates and activate switches! Why? Your hairy godmother would explain, but there's no time! That's our take on the grow theme, but the two buttons theme was also incorporated through this silly minigame: http://ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-34/?action=preview&uid=6155Will check out your cool stuff eventually! I still need to rest now... Seems Marte already played and rated some stuff from our account before I even woke up today, tho. Speaking of Marte, she and I made up the team of this jam, along with Morten. Yep!

A two buttons top-down puzzle with linear progress. A spiritual successor to our previous developed game called Into the Void ( http://globalgamejam.org/2015/games/void-0). In The Void, you should help our introvert - and charismatic - divine-deity'ish protagonist to advance through different levels while trying to figure what really drives it towards its objective (and what is it all about to begin with). Right Mouse - moving around/dash Left Mouse - power menu/subcommands -- We used Construc 2 for the game engine, chiptone for sound, Thiago Adamo soundtracks and somes sfx for the ambience, Aseprite for pixel art, illustrator and photoshop as well. Hope you enjoy it ! Have fun Link: http://ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-34/?action=preview&uid=23827

Darn, these entries are impressive. Combat Hell is my compo entry, and it was my first Ludum Dare game, and my first jam in years. Overall, I'm pleased with how it came out (postmortem here) but it could have been more. A lot more. Also, it could have been a lot better, too, but we only have 48 hours to do this. Ah well. If you need me, I'll be playing Urbo. EDIT: I'll be trying to find Urbo.

Here my little contribution: "Growing Ties". As you can guess by the title, I chose to use "both themes", alongside with the bonus theme of "it’s a tie"! I hope you’ll like it! You run a tie shop. Patrons want to get custom ties. Can you cut a tie at the right size for each one of your patrons? Use Right Arrow key to grow a tie. Use Left Arrow key to cut it. The tie will fall down, and hopefully reach a patron. (Alternatively, you can use Up Arrow / Down Arrow or Z / X or D / F keys if you prefer) Be careful to cut right-sized ties! A perfect-sized tie matches the height of the patron’s shirt. You'll get 10 points for such a perfectly fitting tie, but less points if the tie is too long or too short. Of course, Patrons varies greatly in size and shape! Cut several perfect ties in a row to get bonus "combo" points. Play Here

Still too tired to play any games, but I've got two weeks and I've opened a bunch of tabs of games I plan to play.
Besides your own games in this thread, anything to recommend (preferably something that isn't super popular already so that those who need it the most will get their games played too)?
