Hi guys! We are done with the hi-res portraits of the aztec family. What do you think? We are already working on superfeud mode portraits for the HUD which are not done yet. Hope you like them!

Hello again! Today we want to show you the new spirits we are working on. What do you think? Can you guess the families that they are part of?

Today we want to show you a new way we're trying to show the ammo left. It's a lot closer to the character, right beneath you! What do you think? Would you like to see some more info next to the character?

I love the idea of this game and the art looks great too! Keep up the great work! Also, I think showing ammo next to the character is a very good idea!

Thanks for the support. We think it helps with the feedback but it might hurt the game visually, so we are thinking in adding the option to disable showing it on the character. We have to test it more and see how it goes.

A small update of what we did the lasts couple of days. We are trying to polish the effects in overall, adding more detail, and more feedback in the movement itself. Like ghosting in fast movements, or small particles of dust while the player walks. We also added a small animation when the projectiles hit the ground and particles. So now the game feels more vivid and dynamic with the effects moving.

Everything is a work in progress but we think it is looking good, maybe too crowded right now but it is easier to remove than to add.

Hello again! Lately we have been trying to make the characters stand out in the screen, as we received some feedback about them being so small that made them difficult to follow. In order to do that we've tried some post-process effects that modify the color curves, and the results look promising! They reminds us of Instagram filters, but we really think it helps when trying to distinguish the characters; plus it sets a great mood! Here are some comparatives of the original colors in the game vs the modified ones. What do you think? We'll keep working on several changes to the players to make them more visible, as modifying the outline, or adding some contour blurred shadow.

We have been busy these last days with the submission for IndieCade, so we haven't got much time for an update. It has been days of polishing, testing, and bug solving, so much fun!!. But we did it in the end. As we mention we were working also improving the combat visual feedback, redoing all the effects and trails and adding new effects so it becomes more spectacular. We are happy with the result so far, it is an improvement definitely.

Hi everyone! So busy these days, our artist Juan is working on the art for the trailers and the design of the incoming families.

He is done with the design of the brand new "WARDEN SPIRITS"!!! what we used to call ghosts have now turn into a much more fun
characters which will have more presence in the game. They are more colorful and are more representative of each family.
We also pretend them to be more narrative and to unify the game theme. Here you have a little description, the hi-res drawing and an in-game sight for the first four of them!

THOR:
Warden of thunder, storms and vikings. Although many assume he likes Metal, he´s more of a fan of progressive rock, really. He doesn’t take it well when people comment on his overweight, although he is exercising to tone it down a little, and be a better, healthier God overall. A nice dude that tries to keep things civil among his other Spirit peers.

But when he plays, he plays to win…

BUFFALO WILL:
Ok, so he is not a spirit, or at least he wasn’t until his fame propelled him into Olympus to join his current pals. He likes to call himself eccentric, but the others think that it’s only an act to overcompensate for his mortal origins. He has a bad temper and loses it frequently, bringing the other spirits to start calling him Hot Horns.

What they don’t know is that he is an excellent poker player, and everything around him might be a ruse so he can win…

LADY OF THE LAKE:
The guardian of everything that’s old, good and proper. An English, of course. Her uppity attitude sometimes gets her in trouble with other spirits, specially with that carefree, scrappy Itzpalotl, who doesn’t know her place. But she takes pride in always replying to the mockery with elegance and wit.

Except when they call her the Loch Ness Monster. Just don’t do that…

ITZPALOTL:
Goddess of Agriculture and death. She likes natural things, because, you know, now everything is manufactured and processed, and that can’t just be right for you. Despite having a skull as a face, she’s a carefree spirit that projects positive vibes wherever she goes.

Currently she’s trying to get Thor to pick up yoga.

@TGHoly: Thanks for your support. It's always good to hear that people likes what you are doing. Removing the color of the outline could be problematic in some cases, as whether a projectile belongs to you and can pick it up again, but turning it black is something that we could consider, giving the player all the options to play the game however they want.

By the way your game looks great too, has a bigger megaman vibe than mighty no. 9. Wish to see both in steam soon. You have my vote.

Greenlight is still running, but we have to keep working. We are now implementing the new dynasty, prehistoric, and probably in the next days we will show some of them in action. But today we want to reveal how the aztec level will look.

A temple that will slowly collapse floor by floor. It is a pretty standard level and somewhat static compared to the previous ones, but it is not bad to have a bit of everything.

Thanks for all your help. This is a big step, that encourages us to keep working hard and make the best possible game.
But the machine is still rolling and there's no much time to relax. We will keep updating how the development is going, adding new dynasties (a new one is in the way) and levels.

Last addition to the caveman dynasty, the half turtle american football player. When he has the shell on, he can use it as a shield, but he becomes as slow as a turtle Tongue.

The work on the dynasties is going well, and we are about to finish all the characters. We will be presenting them in the following days. Today we want to present the Japanese family, and here are two of their members. The ninja, stealthy and fast, able to disappear in plain sight, and the samurai, a deadly warrior, always seeking for a honorable 1 vs 1.

The production is going well, and we are about to finish implementing all the different dynasties. Although we will probably have to polish and come back to them to change some things, because we have not played much with them and some ideas that in paper we thought would work, they do not. We will be showing all the dynasties in the coming days, in game and in concept.

Keeping on with the Japanese family, we have to present a heavy fighter. The Yokozuna, he does not like to be fooled.
