I have seen timed dialogue, but never an "initial" option that requires patience to bypass. That's such a great idea!

Love the way you've got the dialogue working. I can clearly see that this is going to my favourite game of whatever year you release it

Thank you! I'm having a little level design anxiety because if I make any changes it'll take forever to re-tile everything. I think I'll go in and tackle a new stage today though!

If you need any help with testing or just a 2nd opinion on levels then shoot me a DM, I'd be more than happy to help

Very cool! Awesome art and moves! But it seems like some times I could not read where I am. This is just an opinion.

Do you mean it was hard to follow the character in the trailer? Or did you try the game at PAX? Also I'll be at GDC! So if anyone is around, I'll be showing the game on the expo floor as well as at a bunch of night events!

Just caught up with the blog, amazing job with all this! I remember playing Tower of Heaven a long while back, it's cool to see how you have progressed from that through to this game! The pixel art looks great, especially with the neo-noir vibe. Looking forward to more updates. Good luck with the rest of development and have a rad time at GDC!

Thanks! Definitely a different vibe than Tower of Heaven. My biggest change has been adding combat, but it's been a fun experience so far. Awesome! I'm thinking about heading down for GDC. What are the night events where you will be demoing?
WOAAAAAH dude. I was at the MIX tonight, I'm at Patreon tomorrow. Are you here? Send me an email with details!

I really love the light effects! What tool do you use to create the normal maps?

If you're looking for an incentive to post a tech detail, let this be it! I'm sure myself and plenty others would love to know what you're using to develop this. Those shader effects are tantalizing
