Should work with Vimeo and Twitch, also. Just type in the URL and it will automatically embed. The embedded video won't show up in the preview, though.

I forced line breaks before and after the embed, too, just so it doesn't totally mangle previous posts.
Suppose it could be worth preserving the clickable original links, and not rely on the embedded player to link to the source content...

There should be a limit imposed on the amount of video links you're allowed to have in a post. Preferably one but two or three would be acceptable. |

Which threads take minutes to load? The YouTube thread loads okay here (2MB content transferred with cache disabled, and that's kind of the worst-case scenario). I limited the replacements to two per post just to prevent something from going too crazy. |

The auto embed also overwrites text that links to a youtube video, which is a real problem for older posts. If I write a sentence with [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XIMLoLxmTDw]a youtube url[/url] in it, the text is removed and replaced with the video If I write a sentence with in it, the text is removed and replaced with the video |
