What combat crossover sounds the most fun

I'm creating a game and I have the idea of changing up the original earthbound inspired rpg battles and add something to it.

But what sounds the most fun?

- A link to the past type combat in the overworld, meaning you can kill some enemies in the overworld but some other enemies that are more powerful engage into the earthbound battle system.

- Bullet hell/mini game shooter type thing for the RPG's. Although undertale has done this im thinking of changing it up. but im afraid our game would get labeled undertale clone if we did that.

btw if you have any ideas, ill be glad to use them for the game
