It doesn't look like you guys have posted anything about this, though I could be wrong. It's kind of old news, but the guy who made "Another World" (Eric Chahi) re-made it in high resolution for PC, and is selling it for $9. I would consider that pretty significant "Indie gaming news." I've played through the high resolution version and highly recommend it. Just thought I'd mention it, in case you guys were looking for something to post. http://www.anotherworld.fr/anotherworld_uk/

I'm surprised I haven't heard of this before. His site needs more screenshots though.

I ended up playing it with the hi-res vector graphics turned on but the backdrops turned off (scaled up pixel versions instead). At that high resolution, the hand-drawn art just seemed to draw me out of the game instead of draw me in. It was great to play through it again though.

I've known about this for a long time, but I'm afraid it doesn't have the extra music from the SNES version.

I really love Another World. It's really remarkable in terms of atmosphere and technology.
I appreciate that the new version also allows playing at the original resolution. It's nice that it doesn't force anyone to play in the upscaled mode if they'd rather not.

Oh, I did not know about this game, I searched around and it seems it's from the same guy that created Heart of Darkness and inspired Flashback. I must play this

I'm not sure this game can even be finished without a quicksave feature that emulators deliver.

I finished it on an actual SNES, there's no quicksave feature there. It's not hard, it's just a lot of trial and error, once you memorize what to do the game is easy. It's more fun to watch than it is to play for me though.

I'm not sure this game can even be finished without a quicksave feature that emulators deliver. It has passwords that are given quote often. You never lose more than a minute or two of work, which is totally acceptable in my lazy gamer's book. :-)
