This is the voting thread for The B-Game Competition!

The Rules:

- Voting is subjective, of course, but you should aim to vote for the game(s) that dips the most deeply into the theme ("B-Games") and the medium (video games), with an emphasis on craft, passion, humor, originality, and entertainment value.  Simple, right? Wink

- Here's how voting will work: if you are a forum member, you will have 3 votes; one vote per game and you may use less than 3 if you wish.  There are a lot of great games in the competition, so I figure you may want to root for more than one!

- The poll will run for 29 days, one for each game in the contest.  That means voting will end at midnight, on October 15th.  At that time the votes will be revealed and the winner decided!

(A tie will result in a "SUDDEN DEATH" poll in which the developers of the tying games can compete for the voters' affections with posters and other goodies.)

- All the game entries are listed below, with a screenshot and a brief description.  For more information, please check out the game threads started by the authors themselves!  These are also listed with the game entry.

- Voting of one's own game is allowed, but I would like to limit that to 3 votes for your own game per team.  I realize this is not easily enforced, so I'm asking that the developers be honest on this point.

- Changing one's vote before the poll ends is allowed!

- PLEASE play all the games before voting!

- All of the games have been tested on a PC running Windows XP.  Some of the games run on Macs, but the Mac downloads are only available on the individual game threads.  Please take up all technical questions/problems with the authors on their threads.

- If possible, try to mix it up and use the mirrors every now and again (especially for games over 10 megs).

Good luck, competitors!  You should be fuckin' proud because you... have... made... history! Grin

Update: thanks to haowan, you can now download all the games in one gigantic rar!  Thanks dude!!!

Update 2: small oversight - the rar currently doesn't include Rap Attack: 2pacalypse Now.  Please download that one separately for now! All fixed up!  Including some other corrupted rars.  Thanks again, haowan!

New download link for all the entries! (192 MB)

Weißer Punkt in der Schwarzlücke, by the acclaimed German artist and semiotician Movius C. Longhair, is a work that transcends "video games" to become true art.

Also the Space Barnacle thread link goes to Gunlimb Wink.

I've been going through the games and having a blast.  The community here is really fantastic (oh, and more of you should hang out in the irc channel), and the blog was my first exposure to the stuff from Nifflas, Lyle in Cube Sector, Gesundheit, etc, etc.

My background has primarily been as a Mac OpenGL developer, and this contest was my excuse to finally create something for Windows-- in Multimedia Fusion no less.

Anyway, blah, fun.

Haha, this is great - I'm downloading the package right now (thanks to haowan for making this so much more convenient) and will test them all - altough I must say that I have a couple of favorites already.

On another note: wasn't Dump Jumper renamed to Dumper Jumper?

Also, total crisis of conscience here. Should I also vote for entries that aren't mine? Would that be letting down my team??
