Wow!  Thanks to everyone who voted for my game! And thanks to Derek for the competition! I know it sounds cheesy but I really think that everyone was a winner here. So many great games were entered, I had an absolute blast playing through them. And making Cottage Of Doom itself was really great fun. Those parts of the competition were so awesome (the best internet-based fun I've ever had, easily) that I didn't care how Cottage Of Doom fared in the competition :D |

Cheesy, perhaps, but also very true! And I'll make sure all the games are immortalized in a feature page on TIGSource.  Cottage of Doom is a sweet game, though, and embodies the spirit of the competition on a number of levels. Very, very good job! |

Definitely a case of the best game winning, imho. I'm still playing Cottage of Doom in spare moments.
Also, I had a really tough time narrowing it down to just three votes, so I'm glad to see that my vote for Dump Jumper was precious water for a desert flower. (A desert flower that smells of poop.)

Well, at least someone voted for mine, whoever that was.
I'll be honest, I'm not really sure about the results (not because of my game, it was very shitte, b-game or not). Sure Cottage was fun, but I'm not sure it was the best representation of a b-game (a bit too polished and I played 2 flash games with the same theme and similar mechanics, like, the last week alone). Though, of course, god only knows what a b-game is supposed to be in the first place. I just think people voted more for the actual best 'games' instead of the best 'b-games'.
Well, congratulation anyway Haowan. You'd better be making some proper games from now on. I'll be watching you. With my eyes. As you sleep.
If I was to pick one between the three top voted (more like four since Barnacle tied) , though, I'd have gone with Mondo Medicals in a heartbeat. Gunlimb a close second.

lol...yeah, I had the same sentiment... I think this was said somewhere so I'll quote it but I feel it sums up this competition totally "this competition is the best concentration of awesomeness on the internet" I had a ton of fun making my game (even though I didn't have nearly enough time to work on it...damn school) and I thoroughly enjoyed all of the other great entries... I wonder what the next compo theme will be... |

Congrats, Haowan!
And a HUGE thank you to Derek for putting this competition on.
It was a blast to work on a project that didn't feel like it had to fit a tight mold. Just seeing all the different styles of games shows how truely great this theme was.
As a side note, I don't think I'm ever going to forgot working on this game. The entire process was a blast. One of the highlights was listening to Jamie, our music maestro, do the recordings for our theremin. Major props to Jamie "theremin" Antonisse!
