Look I agree with your post except:
Constantly sexualizing women erase that aspects by erasing other type of women.
I really doubt that sexualization disables someone from identifying as that person. Sexualizing someone doesn't immediately "erase" every other aspect of that person. In fact I think that beauty makes it easier for people to project themselves onto someone.

Beauty's a little different than sex appeal. There's no reason beyond the puerile, for instance, why Catwoman in the Arkham games has such exaggerated hip and butt movement, or even the hip wiggle of Jill Valentine in RE, or the gratuitous contortionism on display in Wet.
I don't think they're out of place in those particular games, Catwoman for reasons I outlined earlier and the other two are in Mature tittles so it isn't out of place in an M or 18+ tittle. On the other hand, there's no argument that Tomb Raider, for instance, wasn't unnecessarily sexed up, especially the later versions when 3d models were more defined then painted boxes. I dunno if you're old enough, but I remember when Tomb Raider with the nude mod was a thing and people would upload pics to BBS's as porn (Horny 13 year old boys these days are spoiled by the internets, I tell you).
Let's not pretend vulgar sex appeal something that it's not, like beauty. And I think something that Sarkeesian misses is that there are times when sexy is entirely appropriate. But that's definitely not appropriate nearly all the time, like Sarkeesian points out that it is used.

You aren't going to change the entire media image women ended up getting (which women also helped creating). I get that it is what feminism's supposed to be about now, but a lot of people are comfortable with it. When people collectively choose to create an image for themselves I don't see how it can be problematic.
That's entirely the problem tho, women don't feel like this image was chosen by them or created for them. Not sure how you can argue that it was. Kind of interested to hear your argument on that?

I actually just did some research and there are much less women in the fashion media industry than I expected to see (but they're still a pretty wide margin). So I'll just back down on that statement.

Mind you I'm not personally in favor of sexualization. You're making it sound that way, as if I'm some "horny 13-year-old who only cares about tits and butts". It's not the case at all. My point was that if I personally don't like something, it isn't immediately a bad thing. I'm more in favor of allowing a wide range of characterization than starting to stigmatize something. I don't think there's such a thing as "drowning out". I think it's more a matter of the corporate business still thinking they know better than the artists in the video game industry.

And how do you made them listen? By not talking? By keeping quiet? By not holding them accountable of their poor choice? I dunno, that's a self defeating argument.

BTW the solution for feminist is not better representation "in front of the camera" it's better representation at the suit level, ie fighting the suit who hog their power place with barrier to anyone else. The idea is that if they are more diversity up there it will trickle down.

The other factor is corporations cater to what they think people will buy. If you can change minds and make people more conscientious of what they are buying you can potentially change what corporations are wanting to sell. In other words, it's supply and demand, if you change what is demanded you can change what is supplied.

It's like the food industry, people won't stop buying and eating toxic unhealthy substances until you get them to stop underestimating the problem and really pay attention to the toll it is taking on them. Once you get enough people to do that the companies change their ingredients in order to keep appealing to their now more health conscientious customer base.

It is a slow, grueling battle fraught with seemingly endless resistance but it is still a worthy one that must be fought for any change to happen.

That's not true at all, as seen by now decade of data. They can simply drop the market and not turn back. Remember when some girl game like nancydrew beat games like madden? They got no coverage and they let it die, but when massive studio failed because of too many clones ... well it doesn't stop other of following.

Remember when the internet was less available to the masses and opinions, ideas, and movements didn't transmit as quickly among the populace?

On that note, look how indie games have changed the gaming market. They've created a new demand and opened the door for a different supply.

EDIT: Some interesting links, I thought.

Listening to customers

Companies can also use blogs and social sites to bring customers into their product-design process, said Barton George, director of the Dell computer division that sells to Internet-based companies. Through its IdeaStorm site, Dell has taken in more than 17,000 ideas for new or improved products, and has adopted nearly 500, including backlit keyboards that are better for working on airplanes.

Other times, Dell puts its own ideas on IdeaStorm, in what it calls a Storm Session, to get feedback before going ahead. On May 6, Dell posted a plan on IdeaStorm describing a proposed specialty laptop, upgrading an existing machine to target people who write wireless apps and other Web-based software using a variation of the Linux operating system called Ubuntu, George said.

By Monday, customers had posted 83 ideas for refinements to the machine on IdeaStorm, covering specific software bugs to broader issues such as whether the screen should be shiny or not. In addition, 35,000 people visited George's Web posting about the new laptop — 10 times more than any other posting he's ever made, he said. The laptop is due on the market by year's end. Dell says the process produces more detailed feedback than traditional focus groups, and builds links to an important group of customers.

Change the demand to change the supply. Companies that want to survive (or continue to bloat) go where the money is.

...and thus, the topic exploded. Amidst the billowing smoke and scattered debris a pair of disembodied butt cheeks lay smoldering on the twisted framework of a debate that once was. Wrapped cellophane-tight in melted discourse, they stand testament to a video long forgotten. Rest in peace, topic. Rest in peace.
