Those spaceships looks very nice! Like something inbetween abstract sculpture and metal scrap hanging in the air. Awsome design!

Is that software rendering or just cleverly tuned-down OpenGL/DirectX made to look like circa 1995 software rendering?

The flat shaded stuff looks absolutely awesome, but I have to confess that the pixelly textures aren't doing anything for me.

hi all, we've been pretty busy for the last few weeks working on this thing, thanks everybody for your interest and support, feels good to know you guys are digging it. Smiley

Is that software rendering or just cleverly tuned-down OpenGL/DirectX made to look like circa 1995 software rendering?

the latter would be case here, it's OpenGL but we're trying to get that gritty software renderer look. it's pretty artifact heavy if you're into that sort of thing.

hmm, dunno how. how bout some new screenshots? I hope my partner in crime doesn't mind..

Another stunned Tiger

It's awesome that you can get that look with OpenGL. This is making me want to make another cockpit / 3d action game with a software rendering look at 320x200.

ditto nihilocrat- once I am done the current vector game perhaps I will try some textured stuff,. as this does look smashing,. I choose the vectors so i could avoide creating textures and z-depth problems a bit, however now that I have a bit better understancding of some of the 3d issues it may be more likely,. beutifull screens btw!
