Are you using the nw.js exporting option?
Thanks for all the kind words Ninja
Yeah I'm using nw.js

That's pretty high praise  Embarrassed Shovel Knight is very awesome.

I just implemented the parry mechanic. If you tap towards an incoming projectile, it will get parried and you receive spirit points to use in special attacks. There's a tiny slowdown in time too that allows you to retaliate instantly from the parry.
A parried projectile causes a pushback, but you can either push against it to cancel the pushback, or push away to carry the momentum.

So for some reason your game reminds me of Getsu Fūma Den. Really looking forward to trying this game out.

There's now a secret supercomputer you can access to learn what happened:

The boot-up takes forever, to make it realistic  Ninja

Also it does run Vectrysis in case anyone asks if it can handle the latest games:

Just how secret is this secret supercomputer?
Cool idea.

Darklab enemies in the second screen looks like a nice change of pace from the usual blue.

Best regards!

I get such a sunsoft vibe from this game, and yet when I look back at them in comparison, Cyber Shadow blows them out of the water.

Is it metroidvania style or level by level? From the description of the levels I got the impression that it was stage by stage, but you put metroid as the main influence so I wasn't sure.

You can reach it by backtracking after beating an area boss. Like first time through the level is like a noodle shape. After beating the boss a straight path opens through.

And yeah, I think I need to be done with the blue enemies XD. I'm thinking it's gonna be orange things in the next factory themed level.

You go through the levels in a linear progression, but they're all connected in the world map like in Metroid games.
It was partly like this in Ninja Gaiden (Black/Sigma)

The Cybermonster boss is finished and been working on skills recently. There's a skillset that I'll probably keep a secret closely related to high-level play and speedrunning.  Ninja

Here's the shrine animated:

I love this, but I'll probably suck at playing the game :D
Despite being "classically trained" I've gone so casual the past few years..
