So, got RPG Maker MV. While I would have liked something like the Golden Sun series in terms of battle angle, it doesn't have it. So here's a little question for you fine people. Front view (Dragon Quest) or Side view (Final Fantasy), which would interest you the most during a battle scenario and why?

Also, making my first game here in case someone is wondering why I picked this software. >.>;

It's up to you.

...

Dragon Quest, Wizardry, Earthbound, and Shin Megami Tensei have first person battles. They rely more on your interest into projecting into the characters, role-playing and such.

Final Fantasy, Golden Sun, and such have characters appear on the field/side-view because they tend to be about established characters that you play puppeteer for.

Whatever suits your characters really, first-person would probably be easier as to not have to deal with extra animations.

If this is your first game, play to your strengths and make the game the way that is easiest for you.
