I'm in. I would recommend hitting up Goodwill and Salvation Army if you need to pick up mass tables/chairs. You can usually find really cheap stuff. Just stay away from the upholstered stuff lest you bring in some uninvited guests.

Count me in.

We should probably establish some kind of group or page where we can officially keep track of who's coming and decide on dates.

Oh, and I suggest we call this "TIGJam Northeast". Not being from New England and all.

Everyone seems to be "in" but I can't tell who is organizing this.

I would go to Providence or NYC, but also want to mention that I could get a large space in Philadelphia.

Here are two links to encourage philadelphia support:

I would like to host it now that I have a decent space for it, but I have to figure out what my plans are for the summer. I'm thinking of shooting for July or August maybe? Or maybe it makes sense to wait for September when the official TIGJam will happen (if it happens at the same time this year)?

NYC in September would be awesome, I'd almost definitely be able to come.

It seems like there should be a lot more indie dev stuff happening in New York.  I know messhof did a few things last year, and there's places like Video Games New York, but other than that it seems pretty slow.  Or am I just not looking in the right places?  I'd love to start participating/help out to get something started.

No, there isn't much going on in New York as far as organized indie developer stuff goes. Let's change that though Smiley

If only I wasn't so young...... I don't think my parents would like it much if I went to hang out with a large group of people from the internets. :D

Here's how it looks so far:
 - Ivan is hosting.
 - It's being held in NYC.
 - August seems to be best for most people.

Now, some questions:
 - Sleeping quarters? Are we staying at that place or should we plan to get a hotel room? (If we aren't staying at the location, it would be cool to room with some other people.)
 - What is the internet situation?
 - What about food? Bring our own or pool money for it?

I answered you on IM, but i'll answer here for other people's reference:

- Sleeping quarters i'm not sure about. Some people can definitely pass out at the studio, but I don't know how many will be able to fit comfortably (see below for pictures). I can probably host one person (my apt. is SUPER tiny, which i share with my gf, otherwise everyone would be welcome)
- There is internet and wireless here
- Food is not going to be an issue i'm sure

Anyway, my thoughts are this space can fit about 10 people working comfortably, give or take (see photos below).

I will let you know more concrete details as soon as I know what my plans are for the summer, which are kind of up in the air right now.

Stay tuned!

Here are some pictures of the space:

Hey all. I was planning to attend, and I live in CT - a 45 minute train ride into the city. I have a house, so I have a guest bedroom available, as well as ample floorspace for sleeping bags. I need to check with the wife of course, but I think I could house some peeps if they don't mind not staying right in the city at night.
