Hey folks!
I finally got around completing my game
Dodge 'em Close. I had most of it done for quite a while, but both my work laptop and home computer pooped on themselves and I lost my data (I had some older backups sitting on an external drive). In any case, I finished it and am pretty happy with the results.
I'd like to note how much impact music makes in a game. I mean I'm usually all for it, but was veering toward the lazy side of not including any. I now see my mistake. LiquidEvolution (a Newgrounds composer) had some choice tracks, so I used one of those.
Thanks for your time!
DescriptionThis is a game that takes a standard "avoider" game and turns it on its head. Instead of getting points from just staying alive, you can only earn points if you get close to the enemies. The closer you get, the more points you get. The more enemies you dodge closely without dying, the higher the combo meter gets. It's all about calculated risk, folks!
