HandMade Game announced Rooms: the main building, the full version of Rooms, an IGF 2007 Student Finalist game.

Actually, it has been a while since it's release in Big Fish Games last year, but I havn't introduced it in this forum.

The responses from users are very controversial. Some say it's boring and tedious, while some say very unique and challenging.

Isn't it quite interesting?

Why don't you give it a shoot?

I'm really curious how the developers here think about this game.

You can download 1 hour limit demo in here.

If you don't like the 1 hour limitation, download the handmade game version.
The first 20 levels and first adventure riddle is available for this demo.

Below are the trailer on youtube and screenshots.

The box version was also released in ex-USSR territory, and will be released in German speaking territory, too.

Any comment or suggestion will be greatly appreciated!!

From what I can see, it looks pretty well polished, downloading the demo now. Smiley

Tried it.  Very nice!

The main character is small and doesn't stand out well against the background, which detracts somewhat from trying to empathize with him, and the writing is a little at odds with the Victorian feel at times.

But the gameplay is novel and well implemented, and the setting is well done.  Great job!

The representation of the real image character was one of our huge considerations. People usually did not feel sympathy for a real character than a cartoon one. However, we choosed to use the real one for it blended well with the background. There should be better ways to tell the story wihtout using too many texts. (Besides, it's not my mother language.) Maybe I can do better in the next work Smiley Thanks!

Well, one thing you might try, see if you can put an alpha=50% border around him and see if he pops out better that way?  It doesn't bother me that he's realistically drawn, just that it's hard to pick him out from the background at times.
