Hi there  Smiley

We're looking for a VFX artist for our game, An Oath to the Stars. The game is a mecha-anime Danmaku SHMUP inspired by Dodonpachi, Progear and Ikaruga.

You can find more info about the project, including concept arts and dev updates, here: http://himekigames.tumblr.com/

Here's a list of requirements:
- You should have experience working with Unity 5 shuriken particle system.
- You should be aware of performance implications and issues while design the particle systems.
- You should be able to keep the existing style of the game.
- You should have experience working on 3D games

We're working on a reveal trailer, and we'd like to spice it up a bit adding some extra VFX.
Here's an example of what we're looking for: https://twitter.com/paperCaves/status/657159859796901888

Among others, we'll need:
- Enemy explosions
- Laser sparkles
- Muzzle flash
- Ship trails

If you're interested, please get in touch by email with your portfolio and rates  Smiley The email is attilio [at] himekigames.com

Cheers! Smiley

Still looking!

We've just released a reveal trailer for our game, so you can have a better idea of what's the game style.

You can find the trailer in our Greenlight page (also please vote!)

We like the existing style and want to keep it as it is. We'd like to have more explosions FX, and also improve the laser and make it look more powerful.
The player laser power is inversely proportional to the distance from the enemy, so it would be great to find a way to communicate this mechanic through VFX.

Other effects we need are laser ricochet when bullets hit a surface, and muzzle flash on the player mecha.
