R O P E W A L K 3 R ROPEWALK3R is a 2d puzzle platformer. Main mechanic is a rope which helps you to get to the end of the level. Rope is created by putting 2 points anywhere on the level. Game consists of stages with many different levels. Every stage is a constellation and has it's own specific mechanic. Title: Level 1 example: Stage I - Ursa Minor: I am making this game in my spare time so sometimes progress is quite slow. Early gameplay demo soon'ish

I think it's a great idea... Will you use the constellations to do levels?
Can we create our own levels?

Thanks a lot! There will be different levels with same mechanics grouped by constellations. I am thinking about making some kind of a level editor, but it's not my main priority at the moment.

Looks very fun and innovative, love the aesthetic too. Are the rainbow blocks dangerous? One small gripe I have is with the 3 in ROPEWALK3R, why is it there?

Thanks! Yes these blocks are dangerous, made them colorful in order to stand out. Name is not final and it's there just to look awkward

I really love the look of this and the gameplay is so clever and simplistic at the same time, which I love.
Can't wait to see more of it!

Quick update. Working on stage 3 at the moment + some game mechanic tweaks. Playable demo will be available by the end of the week hopefully *fingers crossed*.

A quick update on development. Stage 3 is almost finished. I will try to do my best to fix all the bugs/problems so I can release a playable build early next week. New scissors block will cut your rope:

It plays very nicely! Although when you die it doesn't have much feedback. Maybe there could be some kind of glitch effect on the screen or something?

Thank you! Actually I've been thinking the same, but I am currently not sure how to make it minimalistic yet noticeable and not frustrating.

I got stumped for a minute partway through Ursa Minor (II), before I realized I had to start dropping the first end at the beginning Also, the last level of Ursa Minor doesn't actually require a rope - I walked right through it. Is that intentional? Gameplay was really solid though. My biggest moment was....actually figuring out how to START the first level. Once you get into it, the "Z" and "X" prompts are enough...but I had to spam buttons a bit until I realized "Z" was the button to enter the level as the opening quote says..."It's the figuring out..." Overall, great demo!

Overall, great demo! Thanks for your feedback! I guess menu navigation is not as straight forward as I hoped it to be, I'll do some rework soon as well as some level design fixes.

Navigating with the directional keys was obvious, I just play more console games than computer games, so I forgot that "Z" is often a go-to "Yes/acccept/action" button.
