Project in limbo. Support muchly appreciated.

Flash.
Retro.
Music.
 Coffee
It's a flash game inspired by Bit.Trip.
Its a reimagination of space invaders with a rythmn game in mind.
Basically the seven "invaders" fire lasers (pew pew) at the earth and you must block them.
If you block at the right time, the laser will cause your shield to resonate making a sound.
Make several succesful blocks to create a rythmn!

nice. Looking forward to test a prototype.
backstory doesn't matter much for this kind of game imho, so make a crazy one instead of a cliché Smiley

Like, put your brain in crazy mode, then write the story.
If someone doesn't understand the crazy story, they can still play the game.

Read Kafka, Murakami, other surrealist writers, then write a story with that kind of vibe. Would be cool! Smiley

Danke :p
Finally stopped prototyping and started splitting code into classes, Will start manually parsing music's melody into usable XML files.
Does anyone know any to automagically generate files from music peak points? I tried flash.SoundMixer's compute spectrum but that doesnt really give me the spike that I need...

Ah haven't posted here in a while, make lots of progress.
Auto-magically generating sounds now work, working on XML format and funky GFX.
Hm...Why not, here's the current working build with lackluster effects.

I love the space invaders games, I was planing on making my own game about two weeks ago. Like the old version but my version of how it should look.

I couldn't program the basics so I gave up. Figures, well good luck.
