I had a great idea for a first level on my game with some scripted pixel animations. Stuff like an whole bunch of books falling from a shelf, another shelf with a bunch of glasses falling and breaking on the floor etc. Then I started doing the pixeling of a book shelf falling and became overwhelmed. It's really hard!  Tongue

For the books, maybe make one falling and just repeat it. But they'll look too neat all identical on the floor, so maybe make them fall off screen. I expect experienced pixel artists to have strategies to deal with these kinds of scenarios, so if any of you have any ideas I would love to hear them!

You need to make three or four book falling animations and script it so the fall animations are randomly chosen between them. Do the same for the end state on the floor, four or five options assigned randomly

That certainly sounds easier than what I was trying to make. I'll try that! thanks  Coffee
