Sounds fun. Anyone doing this? Looks like big-map open world fits nicely with a small screen. Saw someone do this in Unity: 3D movement with a 64x64 display. I'm guessing they just shrank the window size?

I'm working on one! It's light adventure game with a limited color palette. A couple screens:

The low res Unity games are mostly done by rendering the camera to a texture (now a free feature with >= 5.0) which a second camera is pointing at. The camera texture is set to point filtering, so it keeps the crisp pixelation.

I'm almost halfway through with mine. Decided to do a mix of 3D, 2D sprites, visual effects, and binary graphics, and am mending them into a short exploration thing with a few too many secrets in all forms. A man's memory is being reviewed via vertical helical scan video, but something seems off.

Just heard about it this evening, and since I'm short on time I made a quick city builder in an hour. It's more of a puzzle game about figuring out controls, but I'm still happy with the results.

I made a competitive twin stick shooter for 1-4 players.

I was wondering why so few people on twitter were talking about this. Until just now, when I realised the hashtag was #LOWREZjam and not #LOWRESJAM, at least I wasn't the only one..
